Apple picking at night? Okay, easy enough.

Dance until dawn? Sure. Why not?

Kiss a stranger? Um…

Review: This book really hit the feeling of friendships, and good ol’ fashioned adventure. It is one of those books that when you read it, you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And that’s why I really loved this book.

The Heartbreaker(s)… (hint, hint -there’s only one!)

hb

Title: The Heartbreakers

Author: Ali Novak

Genre: YA Romance, Family Relationships, Fiction

Rating: 🍜🍜🍜🍜/5 (Ramen)

Blurb: “Stella will do anything for her sick sister, Cara—even stand in line for an autographed Heartbreakers CD…for four hours. She’s totally winning best birthday gift this year. At least she met a cute boy with soft brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes while getting her caffeine fix. Too bad she’ll never see him again.

Except, Stella’s life has suddenly turned into a cheesy love song. Because Starbucks Boy is Oliver Perry – lead singer for the Heartbreakers. And even after she calls his music crap, Oliver still gives Stella his phone number. And whispers quotes from her favorite Disney movie in her ear. OMG, what is her life?

But how can Stella even think about being with Oliver — dating and laughing and pulling pranks with the band — when her sister could be dying of cancer?”

Review: Heartbreakers eerily reminded me of that Disney movie called Starstruck where the girl accidentally runs into the insanely famous teen popstar, whom she hates, only to go on a romantic tour of LA with him and fall in love. Well, this book is similar, if not a little more cheesy and romantic. And I really liked it.

Title: The Summer I Turned Pretty

Author: Jenny Han

Genre: YA, Teen Romance

Rating: 🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜/5 (RAMEN)

Blurb:                                    “Belly measures her life in summers.

Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad.

They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer–they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.”

Review: “The Summer I Turned Pretty” is a beyond classic lovey dovey, teen romance novel. And I love it.

Bottling

daisy

There is a time and there is a place for sharing your feelings. For example, maybe you shouldn’t share your feelings when your mom is stress, and you want to tell her you feel like she’s treating you like shit. In that case, she’s just going to get more mad and completely disregard what you’re saying. Or you shouldn’t share your feelings that you hate how your boyfriend eats in front of his family at the dinner table. That’s just a big NO.

So when is the right time?
